Re: MO to meet with Nado
I guess with the deadline less than 10 days away, he has finally decided to start the process of exploring whether it might be possible to find a trade fit for Arenado. Fantastic.

It doesn’t matter because no one wants him

Funny how this works. It would appear that NA is comfortable in StL. He has a no trade clause. He likely was told some things by the Cards regarding their will to win that simply weren’t true (that has been the speculation). They now want a favor from him. Kick rocks, Moe. I’d jerk their chain for a long time.

I think that's what he's doing.Rojo Johnson wrote: ↑21 Jul 2025 22:35 pm Funny how this works. It would appear that NA is comfortable in StL. He has a no trade clause. Re: MO to meet with Nado
Not so sure nobody wants him . If Cardinals pick up substantial amount of salary (which they would obviously need to ) , there could be suitors.
One team that was NOT on his trade list of contending type teams this past offseason was the Milwaukee Brewers. If Suarez doesn't go there , I would not put it past Brewers to make a play for Nado. They seek an upgrade for their 3rd base spot. Nado would be that .
Problem is would Mo trade Nado within the division ? Rarely does that happen .
One attractive thing for MO is that Milwaukee has a very good farm system. Could be something there that Mo/Bloom may want to get if offered

you think Nado would waive his NTC to go to Milwaukee?ramfandan wrote: ↑21 Jul 2025 22:43 pmNot so sure nobody wants him . If Cardinals pick up substantial amount of salary (which they would obviously need to ) , there could be suitors.

Maybe NA is thinking .. Hey Mo , if I give the waive on my NTC will you spend my wife, daughter, and me to Hawaii for a 2 week vacation at a top shelf resort ?JuanAgosto wrote: ↑21 Jul 2025 22:41 pmI think that's what he's doing.Rojo Johnson wrote: ↑21 Jul 2025 22:35 pm Funny how this works. Sure, there could always be a negotiation to entice Nolan to waive the NTC. But would you trust John Mozeliak to arrange your travel plans?ramfandan wrote: ↑21 Jul 2025 22:48 pmMaybe NA is thinking .. Re: MO to meet with Nado
He says he wants a team that is contending and dang they have a great starting rotation ,closer, speed galore plus a ballpark that he has hit well his entire career . Plus just like St. Louis , he only would be there during the season. In offseason, He resides in So. California and has a townhouse in Phoenix area near Rockies complex. Milw. would not be his first choice but if they were a team where he could be dealt , it might be his best option.82birds wrote: ↑21 Jul 2025 22:46 pmyou think Nado would waive his NTC to go to Milwaukee?ramfandan wrote: ↑21 Jul 2025 22:43 pmNot so sure nobody wants him . No media pressure there either and good fanbase that would welcome him with open arms. They have witnessed him robbing Brewer players of hits for a few years now with his Gold Glove play. Think those fans would love his addition . An added bonus for Nado... the team would tell him for home games , you won't have to worry about rainouts and sitting around the clubhouse for hours and hours. No home rainouts at our park . Come to work , play, and go home with no makeup games . Can't be that
Re: MO to meet with Nado
PS to above for you 82Birds .. as to 'you think Nado would waive his NTC to go to Milwaukee ? With Brewers win just now , Milwaukee has THE BEST record in baseball 60-40 What other reason would he NOT want to go there ? More publicity in a big market ?? He is past that I think .ramfandan wrote: ↑21 Jul 2025 22:54 pmHe says he wants a team that is contending and dang they have a great starting rotation ,closer, speed galore plus a ballpark that he has hit well his entire career .
