McGreevy is the second best SP in the organization

And Mo buried him behind Mikolas and Fedde. Total organizational malpractice.

Pallante, too.

McGreevy was handled poorly. He earned a rotation spot last year and in spring training.

I was going to push back at that but given the mess of the current rotation it's possible. Still I'd like to see more. His H/9 in milb and college are upside down. Normally that portends trouble at the MLB level- unless they are mostly ground balls.

What kind of stuff does he have? Ground ball pitcher?

fun fact: if cardinals had traded Fedde in the offseason and given his starts to McGreevy, even if Cards only went 10-9 in McGreevy's starts (with Fedde, we're 5-14), we'd be tied with the Mets for the 2nd wild card. DFA Fedde now.

Service time manipulation. Simple as that.

Yes, he is.
It is why he started tonight.

Then he might be better than expected. The good thing about sports is they play the games and we find out. Don't have to wonder.

Looked good tonight but let’s not overreact to one game against what may be the worst team in major league history

You have to agree that his strikeout tonight was impressive.

He just may be the next Nolan Ryan.

I don't think he can be sent back down this year. The limit is 5--before being exposed to waivers--and I think he has five.

Because Mozeliak is an arrogant dumb[ash]. His pride leads him to stick with things that aren't working. Even at the detriment of the team.

I would agree but he has been above avg. in the bigs since last year, albeit a smaller sample size
