With today's loss, the Cardinals are 51-49 for the 100 games played .. a .510 winning percentage
Multiple .510 x 162 games = 82.62 (or rounding up it would be 83 games )

It took 89 wins to get the 3rd wildcard spot in 2024.

For 2025, the Padres currently sit in the 3rd WC position (54-45) with a .545 which for the season would be 88 wins (one game shy of last year's 3rd spot.)

So the numbers in 2025 are matching the figures for 2024. Cardinals would once again be 5 to 6 games shy of the playoffs and that is IF things stay the same .
