Does the ballpark discourage the hitting prospects in the organization? Why do Brewers young hitters seem to have less adjustment to the bigs? Did the organization screw up by altering their makeup years back to look for power vs speed in the lineup when considering the ballpark dimensions.?
Just some questions to ponder while eagerly anticipating the Chaim Bloom broom.

Re: Busch III
I think the main difference between the clubs is their minor league development system, not necessarily their home ballparks.
The cards admitted this past offseason that they hadn’t invested in their minor league system as much as they should have and have fallen behind other teams. Seems the brewers went in the opposite direction, focusing on developing talent instead of pushing every spare dollar into the major league roster payroll, thus the difference in results when guys come up in their system vs the cards.

So, my theory, is Gorman’s strikeouts would be just as much of an out in Wisconsin.
I’m still testing around the edges, but wanted to share my preliminary scientific findings.
This theory has not yet been peer reviewed.

Re: Busch III
My theory is that there is very little talent from ownership on down to the players.
This stops the turnstile parade.

Re: Busch III
Mo etal crewed up seeking too many "pitch to contact" pitchers instead of power pitchers.
Bloom has rectified that w/this draft, he and Flores went power pitching.
