I used to travel weekly on business, from about 1989 until 2018. 4 million miler. Mostly I set my own travel schedule so I could try to arrange trips abound ballgames. That allowed me to see the Cardinals in a lot of cities, and visit the different ballparks. I have been to close to 50 parks, including all but Nationals Park (my one time planned there was rained out). Fast forward to 2025, and I was invited to a conference in Chandler, AZ this weekend. As luck would have it, the Cards are playing here this weekend. I didn't know the detailed schedule until today and, as bad luck would have it, I won't be able to break away to see them play, (bleep). I saw the Cards play here a long time ago. I don't remember the exact year, but JD Drew was on the club.
I did see a lot of Cardinals gear at the airport today. They'll be well supported.
So close, and yet so far
