Obviously the SEC doesn’t think much about the Missouri Tigers. One first team selection on offense (Green) and one third team selection on offense (Coleman Jr). Zero defensive selections on defense and zero special teams selections.

I guess we shouldn’t expect much from the 2025 addition of the Tigers. I’m ready for a few surprises.

I read that Georgia voted to have game participants limited to specialists only.

after two ten win+ plus seasons and two solid bowl wins over B1G opponents who gave rest of SEC fits? Fine. I like it this way as it gives Eli's slogan of Something to Prove real weight. 12th? Really? With the Portal classes he has secured and especially the defense they will put on the field?

That's why they play the games. Eli said it best, I don't care what you think of me, He has a great family, staff and lots of character players. Now lets get on the field and Lets Rock. These polls are totally useless and these opinions don't mean Jack.

Other side of same coin tho is, BEAT some of these Big brands, especially at home. have your kids ready to come out and BEAT Bama. Then treat Aggies like they did Tigers in college station. Then you can talk.

Preseason polls aren’t worth the paper their written on.

That said, if we finish 12th, with the fortune we’re spending on football (and not spending on other important sports), it’ll be a massive disappointment. We could spend a decent chunk of that fortune on baseball for example and go really far toward fixing it, and still finish 12th in football.

Hopefully we far exceed 12th and we’re all excited about a 3rd straight 10 win season.

Yes and how many fans would trade a successful college football team for a succesful college baseball team?

I think most would. But, we’re not really much of an SEC school if we ignore baseball. It’s extremely popular in the SEC. It wouldn’t take much to fix it. But we continue to put nearly all money toward football and neglect baseball. So, the result is we have a terrible head coach, mediocre stadium, and apathetic fan base.

If football is in the hunt for championships every year, then I guess the boatload of money going to it is paying off. But if we finish 12th? What the hell are we doing?

This has nothing to do with the SEC.

This is about a group of credentials; fifteen of which gave first place votes to SC, OU, Vandy, Florida, Tenn, Ole Miss and Auburn
