6-7" 240 lbs OF. 23 HRs and 1.038 OPS in AA/AAA in 63 games this year. But he's more/less blocked by Judge. What would the Yankees take to move him?

that .399 OBP should certainly playHorseTrader wrote: ↑14 Jul 2025 10:54 am 32.6% K rate this year, which is an improvement over last years 36.8%. He's Gorman's step brother? There is a lot to like, the power, the speed (43 SB in 2023), willing to take a walk, has played mostly CF.

I kind of thought he was a good idea over the winter, but upon further review the strikeouts bother me. Actually, so far this season at AA and AAA he has struck out 90 times in 233 AB for a 38.6% strikeout rate. The power is enticing. He seems like a Gorman for the OF with more service time.HorseTrader wrote: ↑14 Jul 2025 10:54 am 32.6% K rate this year, which is an improvement over last years 36.8%. He's Gorman's step brother? Isn't the K rate based on PA, not AB's?Talkin' Baseball wrote: ↑14 Jul 2025 13:11 pmI kind of thought he was a good idea over the winter, but upon further review the strikeouts bother me. Yanks need pitching NOW, this won't get it done but I'd start with Fedde, Noot, Helsley. I'd up it to Pallante, Noot, Helsley and some wildcard minor leaguer.
IF Gorman was an elite defender at 2B, he'd have good value even with his K issue.HorseTrader wrote: ↑14 Jul 2025 10:54 am 32.6% K rate this year, which is an improvement over last years 36.8%. You're probably much closer to what the Yanks would want. I'm higher on Noot than most on here, and if I'm the Yanks, I'd rather Judge play a less demanding LF vs. CF, thus the VS2 thought.HorseTrader wrote: ↑14 Jul 2025 15:50 pmYanks need pitching NOW, this won't get it done but I'd start with Fedde, Noot, Helsley.
