MSN said Robert can do more pushups than Roby and Sagesse combined!
Sounds like something someone with a low baseball IQ would suggest.

You got it, Bub. With that L-B-I-Q of yours, you need all the bumps you can get.Shady wrote: ↑05 Jul 2025 17:29 pmCornhole, keep up the bumping, please.CorneliusWolfe wrote: ↑05 Jul 2025 17:27 pmMSN said Robert can do more pushups than Roby and Sagesse combined!

Robert issue are AB's. Who in the Cardinal organization can "fix" that issue?? Definitely not Marmot, ... I got nothin.
Get a new ownership, FO, and manger, coaches and could see adding Robert to Cardinals. If NO changes just another FUBAR.

Wonder what Cardinals' players the White Sox would want in a deal for Robert. Gorman, Walker, Nootbaar, Saggese, one of the Cardinals' fine catchers in the organization, etc. I'm guessing a young pitcher prospect like Roby or Hence. To me, a relatively young, RH power hitting CF, with All Star ability, is an attractive consideration for the Cardinals.

Would the cost be massive as McAvoy opined in one paragraph, or not significant due to his struggles as he opined in the next paragraph?
He’s been butt. Do you want him? At $20MM per?

Speaking strictly on talent - after watching Cards & W Sox series in Windy City they need relief pitchers. Walker would be a "save face" in giving up a talent like Robert. But most definitely RP.

It could be an expensive gamble, no doubt. But also could pay huge dividends. I feel, because of this season's Robert's production, the Cardinals wouldn't have to overpay for a tremendous talent. An Old Friend wrote: ↑05 Jul 2025 18:04 pmWould the cost be massive as McAvoy opined in one paragraph, or not significant due to his struggles as he opined in the next paragraph?

How does he do against "tough" righties?

A couple years ago I would have been all in on Robert. But that guy can't stay healthy. It'd be Tyler O'Neill with less pt. And the recurring hip issue would scare me off.

WS going to have to pay down his contract to get anything decent in return.

I would hope not.
