Mo with the Cat on pre-game
Trade deadline
-Tough to answer today
-He'd like to add but wants to see where they are over next 25 days
-Need to get healthy
-Hererra further along than thought, hopefully re-hab prior to ASB
-Wouldn't commit to anything specific

But it ended odd as the Cat said "One more question" and they cut off the interview.

Mo talk Add mans to try to sneak in as last wild card. Fans want add to mean they to win a WS. That’s the disconnectrockondlouie wrote: ↑05 Jul 2025 12:53 pm Trade deadline

They weren’t favored to win the WS in 2006. They weren’t favored to win the WS in 2011. And they weren’t favored to make it into the WS in 2013.Youboughtit wrote: ↑05 Jul 2025 13:12 pmMo talk Add mans to try to sneak in as last wild card. Fans want add to mean they to win a WS. I doubt if they’ll ever be favored in the future, unless the development system works excellently.

While all of that is true, there is no one on this team that even resembles Pujols, Yadi, Edmonds, Holiday, Cris Carp or Wainwright like those teams had.Cranny wrote: ↑05 Jul 2025 13:17 pmThey weren’t favored to win the WS in 2006. Re: Mo with the Cat on pre-game
Mo isn't committing to anything because he doesn't want to do anything at the trade deadline. BDW needs to hand full power to make decisions. Mo is a lazy (donkey) and is biding time coasting to retirement.

Dodgers Braves Yankees Phillies and several others have 3+ future hOFers in their prime. Cardinals have 0 and those years the Cardinals had a top 5 farm and top 10 payroll.scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑05 Jul 2025 13:42 pmVery few of those across MLBpeterman'srealitytour wrote: ↑05 Jul 2025 13:39 pmWhile all of that is true, there is no one on this team that even resembles Pujols, Yadi, Edmonds, Holiday, Cris Carp or Wainwright like those teams had.Cranny wrote: ↑05 Jul 2025 13:17 pmThey weren’t favored to win the WS in 2006. Payroll was high due to Mo handling out stupid contracts.Youboughtit wrote: ↑05 Jul 2025 13:52 pmDodgers Braves Yankees Phillies and several others have 3+ future hOFers in their prime. Very few of what? Really good players? Maybe check out the All Star game and you’ll find them. It’s just they don’t play for usscoutyjones2 wrote: ↑05 Jul 2025 13:42 pmVery few of those across MLBpeterman'srealitytour wrote: ↑05 Jul 2025 13:39 pmWhile all of that is true, there is no one on this team that even resembles Pujols, Yadi, Edmonds, Holiday, Cris Carp or Wainwright like those teams had.Cranny wrote: ↑05 Jul 2025 13:17 pmThey weren’t favored to win the WS in 2006. Re: Mo with the Cat on pre-game
Correct. Not even 1 of those kind of players plays for the Cards now. Nothing similar to as good an as of them were unfortunately. That’s why attendance is terrible. There’s not 1 player that’s good enough to want to watch.peterman'srealitytour wrote: ↑05 Jul 2025 13:39 pmWhile all of that is true, there is no one on this team that even resembles Pujols, Yadi, Edmonds, Holiday, Cris Carp or Wainwright like those teams had.Cranny wrote: ↑05 Jul 2025 13:17 pmThey weren’t favored to win the WS in 2006. This team is no where good enough to win anything. Of course they can win some games this year. Even Pittsburgh wins games. But even if they get into the playoffs would we never win most likely even a series. Bullpen and defense is pretty good however hitting and starting pitchers are just not good enough. And ownership decided at the beginning of the year to “see what the minor leaguers could do” with no expectations to win big. If they aren’t doing everything they can to win then why attend or even watch.
Call me when ownership cares about winning again!
