Mo must come away with a really good power hitting prospect
At the trade deadline for the reset. Helsley could get that. And maybe Contreras could if he'd want to go to a serious contender and waive his NTC.
Re: Mo must come away with a really good power hitting prospect
no...Helsley can't get that.
you've been told over and over again. Helsley is having a bad year. I don't care if Saggese was the Texas League MVP two years ago, Helsley sucks this year
Re: Mo must come away with a really good power hitting prospect
I'll go with yes Helsley can get a stud power hitting prospect. Hide and watch. But I appreciate your rare civility toward me.

Watch what? Your claims on trades are always WAY OFF Base and redundant. It's like you spend zero time investigating what you can get for the player....yet you spam anyway.Shady wrote: ↑03 Jul 2025 19:12 pmHide and watch. But I appreciate your rare civility toward me.
if you want to repay the civility, then erase this and stop spamming the same (bleep)

Get screwed, GURU. You don't run Cards Talk and, for sure, don't run the Cardinals. You think you run both. You are a legend in your own mind. But you are the CT guru.craviduce wrote: ↑03 Jul 2025 19:14 pmWatch what? Your claims on trades are always WAY OFF Base and redundant. funny how you're so uncivil when you're exposed. So much name calling
Re: Mo must come away with a really good power hitting prospect
You ain't exposed jackchit. Name calling? You know all about that, don't you? You are just too full of yourself. You do some good things. But you don't have the instincts regarding Cardinals baseball that I do. Ex. Burleson. I am done with your petulant bullchit for now.craviduce wrote: ↑03 Jul 2025 19:19 pmI know I don't run it...but your Trades are always...the same stupid, redundant,, annoying [shirt]....STAHP.Shady wrote: ↑03 Jul 2025 19:17 pmGet screwed, GURU. Helsley cannot get that in a return. Why do you think he could? What specific prospect did you have in mind? Be specific

Re: Mo must come away with a really good power hitting prospect
I have a specific one in mind- Josue Briceno of the Tigers. 20 year old left handed power hitter. Primarily a bad catcher working now on 1B. He is ready to be promoted to AA. One of the things I like about him- he is in his fourth season as a pro and every year after the first year he has had almost an identical number of walks as strikeouts. Lots of extra base hits, not just home runs. Not a strikeout machine. He is probably 2 years from the majors. The Tigers have other catchers and they have other first basemen ahead of him. They have a deep farm system and could afford to part with a high end prospect- IF THEIR NEEDS WERE MET. They are really set up to make a run.
The posters are right, Helsley alone doesn't meet their needs, but they need Helsley. What else do they need? They could use a third baseman. With the glut of infielders we have, could we not part with Nolan Gorman? Jackson Jobe is lost for the season and Jack Flaherty is not doing well. They could use a starting pitcher. Would we be mad if we had to part with Andre Pallante?
We don't have to trade all these guys, but the point is they have needs and we have players that help meet those needs. The same is true of the Phillies, Mariners, Red Sox, and Rangers among others. We can do meaningful things if we will. Helsley alone is not the answer, but he is part of the answer. Take all of these guys that won't be back next year and bundle them with players who aren't rentals and get more meaningful returns. Josue Briceno- you heard it here first.

Left handed and learning 1B and maybe ready in 2 yrs…I’d hope they’d acquire a RH’er that can play RF sometime next year. Especially if parting with Pallante as part of the deal. 1B and LHH’s aplenty.Talkin' Baseball wrote: ↑03 Jul 2025 19:57 pmI have a specific one in mind- Josue Briceno of the Tigers. 20 year old left handed power hitter. Give it up, Chuck. How's your constant belittling of Burleson going for you? Just keep up your wonderful reporting. And let the analysis/projections up to others like myself. You simply aren't in the same higher level league.craviduce wrote: ↑03 Jul 2025 19:41 pmcome on, man...he does this for attention. That's all. He will NEVER do any homework on anything. Thank you for the response. Your knowledge of Briceno far exceeds mine. By far I mean I've never heard of him. This is what I asked of Shady. If you propose a trade for a specific style of player put in some effort and give an example. I'll keep tabs on him and give you credit if he's traded to anyone for a value playerTalkin' Baseball wrote: ↑03 Jul 2025 19:57 pmI have a specific one in mind- Josue Briceno of the Tigers. 20 year old left handed power hitter.
