Would you trade Burleson for Alcantara and Gallen?

Post by ScotchMIrish »

Obviously a hypothetical since Alcantara and Gallen don't play for the same team. Not defending the Ozuna trade but Burleson is who we got with the compensation pick. Burleson is hitting .289 with .779 OPS.

Gallen in his walk year has an era over 5 albeit in a hitter's ballpark. Alcantara coming off surgery was improving until most recent start.

It was a terrible trade at the time. Alcantara won the Cy Young. Gallen was AZ's ace for the team that won the NL. But now it's a legitimate question. Would you trade Burleson for Alcantara and Gallen? At this stage the deal doesn't look so bad.

No. Gallen is bad this year and a Free Agent. His ERA/WHIP has gone up for 3 years now

I'm not risking it with Alcantara...so no

Well, maybe not on the being bright. Bright people aren't goofballs. They don't need to be. When one is lacking smarts they resort to your type tactics.

There you go. Another confirmation of your intellectual capacity. Or maybe it's more your maturity level. Something's lacking.
