Doug's collar is folded over therefore "bad trade".

I have no idea about evaluating prospect talent because I'm just a fan of hockey. But it seems strange that the Blues couldn't get Montreal to add a pick because Bolduc has put up a good season and has qualities that make life hard on the other team. DA called it an "old fashioned hockey trade" but I hope he's playing a bit of chess too.

I’m sure it would have gone over better if there was a 2nd coming from Montreal as well.

We traded a proven player for a lotto ticket…… Not a smart trade at all

Well, Bolduc was not - contrary to belief on this board - a "proven" player. He had hiccups this year. I see this as an even up trade as far as what each player has done as a pro.

Frankly, if Bolduc was a defenseman, he would have been in the "A" too. Defenseman take longer to develop.

I was a fan of Bolduc's playoff for the most part. He took a couple of bone headed penalties in one game, though. Regular season was up and down. I really like Mailloux's tool box. Really impressive reach and from the highlights I've seen he has a good shot and gets it off quick. Also appears to have a great first pass.

I really like Bolduc.

I like Snuggerud and Dvorsky more.

It absolutely makes sense to deal from a position of strength.

We needed a nhl ready RD with top 4 potential.

Mailloux fits the bill.

I would be mad if that player profile was being traded all the time for a bag of pucks, but the fact is they aren't.
