+1. Blues management shouldn't keep putting his name out there.clemonsonroots wrote: ↑30 Jun 2025 23:29 pm Kyrou didn't get traded...now we can stop with this annoying nonsense!

I am cool with Schenner to center him and Holls if he is still in good shape.
The lack of viable number two centers in painfully obvious.
If we sign Faksa is there enough dough for a good 3c?

You won’t have to worry about that for at least five years.
Re: We can finally move on!!!
Not necessarily. He can still be traded with his approval.

The Blues management didn't put his name out there. Other teams that were aware his NTC was kicking in may have called about Kyrou. Then the Blues fans and social media went nuts with every crazy rumor.thegibby. wrote: ↑30 Jun 2025 23:34 pm+1. I personally found it quite interesting and entertaining.
I'm pretty much to the point now where I'm ready to put Dvorsky between Neighbors and Bolduc ,keep looking for future d, and play on.

Also I think some of these things the Blues have been rumored to be in on probably didn't even involve Kyrou.

Yes, given the landscape...save the money down the line and go into next year with a ton of capspace and see who is available in free agency. Might be a number 1 center available.

Kyrou is a solid top 6 winger, scores 30+ goals a season, and is signed to a good deal.
I maintain be isnt going to be a difference maker in the playoffs, but has definitely improved and he absolutely is a player thay helps you *get* to the playoffs.

The guy has had solid growth to his game over the last 2-3 years. What’s to say he’s not going to continue that process? Yeah, he was a mess in the Winnipeg series but there was a good reason. He got rocked harder than anyone has seen in in a long time. He seriously could have called it quits after that and nobody would have questioned him. But he didn’t. Throughout his career The dude has grown from adversity and that hit and that series may have helped him grow. Monty will help him learn from it. I have confidence in Monty as a teacher and Kyrou as a player who has experienced significant growth to his game over the years. He really has come a long way when you look at his career. Army had to explore what was out there, but I’m excited they didn’t trade him.britishblue wrote: ↑01 Jul 2025 03:18 am Kyrou is a solid top 6 winger, scores 30+ goals a season, and is signed to a good deal.

I'm curious. You make it sound so simple. How does a team accommodate a guy like Kyrou? 1st line during regular season, and 3rd line in the playoffs?britishblue wrote: ↑01 Jul 2025 03:18 am Kyrou is a solid top 6 winger, scores 30+ goals a season, and is signed to a good deal.

Re: We can finally move on!!!
Kyrou was removed from Thomas' wing and placed firmly on the 2nd line. He and Thomas proved after years that they had poor chemistry. It's probably half the reason people have wanted to trade him since both players signed their 8 year deals. But you're right, in the playoffs vs WPG he got 15min TOI in games we won, and more TOI in games we lost. I argue against with the talk of "but the greatest line of Holloway-Schenn-Kyrou mustn't be broken up" and "he was great with Holloway on his other wing" because that was a small sample size and proves again the point that he doesn't drive play or carry his line or his team - that was Holloway for a long stretch last season, as evidenced when he went down with injury. So, to answer your question, we continue to accommodate Kyrou by putting him with our best players hoping they can carry him while he feeds off their example.a smell of green grass wrote: ↑01 Jul 2025 06:09 amI'm curious.
