Watching Carbonneau video. Can he play Center?

Post by Galatians221jb1 »

He loves to rush and control the puck, had almost as many assists as goals, loves to play behind the net (Federko in his “office”). An amazing stick handler. Why not try him at center?

If he could play center, he'd be playing center in juniors. He's not a center anymore than he's a goalie.

In many ways, he reminds me of David Backes. Did Backes play much C as a junior? He made the transition to C in the NHL (though I thought he was better at RW).

They see him as a power forward. And from DA's comments, he has a lot of growing to do in his defensive game even as a wing. That is multiplied for a center prospect.

C requires alot of defense which isn't Carbonneau's strong suit from what I have been reading also has some questionable decision making at times. Think he is firmly a winger.

If he is a center he is probably not a Blue IMO.
