Glad we drafted a goalie. It’s been 5 years since we did. Never heard of the Russian before but this kid I remember. He was Sweden’s starter at the U18s. I recall him looking pretty good against the Americans in the semis but then got shelled in the GMG against Canada. Pulled for backup Mans Goos (yes, that’s his real name). Other than that, I didn’t pay a lot of attention to him and the main thing I remember was his unique first name. But I still have some of the U18 games on my DVR so I’ll go back and watch some of the Swedish ones now, watching him specifically.

Looks like he did fine in Sweden’s top jr league this season and is set to play in the Allsvenskan next season.
