NHL - NHLPA Agreement

Four year extension agreed upon just waiting ratification. Will run through 2030. Basic highlights:

1.) Continued 50-50 revenue split between league & players.

2.) 84 game regular season. 2 less exhibition games.

3.) Maximum contracts reduced by a year to 7 & 6 year terms.


Nothing mentioned in the NHL.com arcticle regarding correcting the LTIR/Cap playoff issues. Supposedly changes are coming though.

Any loophole in the cap is good for the players. What would the owners be willing to give up to close it?
