I'm down with if they knock the Chickenhawks around.
But how will they ever know they're really any good in the Big 12?

And Tech may not be done, they look to be closing in on the 247 composite 2nd ranked OT in the '27 class as well.

Happy Eye indeed.Ojo will join TTU on a fully guaranteed, 3-year, $5.1 million revenue share contract
Last month Tech re-upped the softball pitcher they bought from Stanford for a second million dollar deal. Now Ojo signs for what is close to 10 percent of the new college fund. It's easier to find one big donor than lots of little ones but schools wanting to succeed need one or the other. Tech is showing the future for athletic departments.
Re: OT: TT shopping hard
If you have billionaire alums who want to buy a program, they are "showing the future". Most don't have former athletes able or willing to throw that kind of money around. These guys hit it rich in the oil/gas fields. Think Monty Miller (Jon Hamm) in Landman for reference.
Re: OT: TT shopping hard
All the money in the world doesn't make make way west Texas a great place to live.
Re: OT: TT shopping hard
This is absolutely nuts and will be the death of College sports. Fully guaranteed for a 18 yo? Here's hoping it all blows up in these idiots faces and don't like to wish I'll will on someone I don't know but

It most likely doesn't, and that's when that well will dry up.

When you have a billionaire whose wife is a former player and big softball fan it doesn't matter if it is making money.winonsports wrote: ↑09 Jul 2025 10:53 amDoes the future show softball making money?jcgmoi wrote: ↑04 Jul 2025 18:07 pmHappy Eye indeed.Ojo will join TTU on a fully guaranteed, 3-year, $5.1 million revenue share contract

You must have not heard. This is the death of college sports, not the advent.Wentzville wrote: ↑09 Jul 2025 12:18 pmWhen you have a billionaire whose wife is a former player and big softball fan it doesn't matter if it is making money.winonsports wrote: ↑09 Jul 2025 10:53 amDoes the future show softball making money?jcgmoi wrote: ↑04 Jul 2025 18:07 pmHappy Eye indeed.Ojo will join TTU on a fully guaranteed, 3-year, $5.1 million revenue share contract

The billionaire wife will have no connection to the West Texas Oil Queens in the future, and even she will have to answer to her expenditures when the CFO explains the bottom line to her
Re: OT: TT shopping hard
IF they are putting huge part of their NIL budgets to a couple of Olinemen what's left for the skill guys on O. Or more important the Defensive players? Makes little sense unless it's going to be the wild west where everyone who has a billionaire or two in their pocket ignores all this and loses their ever loving minds and simply tosses bags o cash around just like it always has been just under the table.
Re: OT: TT shopping hard
"College" sports. LOL!!!
Re: OT: TT shopping hard
Is it still true that women there don't treat you mean?
Re: OT: TT shopping hard
The cream of the crop offensive linemen ride the pine as true freshman and get redshirted an more than likely don't see the field until their reshirt sophomore year (3rd year). Then they are the weak link on the offensive line.hdhntr148 wrote: ↑10 Jul 2025 06:53 am IF they are putting huge part of their NIL budgets to a couple of Olinemen what's left for the skill guys on O. So even with tens of millions of dollars spent on offensive linemen, they likely won't reap benefits (wins) in three years or so.
