Back in the late '80s she was doing a national tour of one-woman shows talking about her new book and her TV career. During her appearance in St. Louis, she guested with J. C. Corcoran on his morning show. She mentioned, with a glint in her eye, how she had (ahem) "friends" in cities all over the country, and she'd call them ahead of her appearance in that town and invite, "Hey, you wanna play?".
Immediately after she left the studio, J. C. dramatically said, "You know what, I'm 34. She's 62. But I would do her in a heartbeat."
