I have been saying that I am very keen on watching which teams shows up at the start of next season. Will it be the .500 team that drove Army crazy in early Feb, or the .700 team of the last 25 games. I don't trust what happened in the last 25 games.

And now Army tells me that "Dynamics change around the league"... The Winning of the last 25 games may NOT NECESSARILY continue. Expect mediocrity, folks.

So on draft day, when your favorite guy goes off the board about 10 picks ahead, know that Army (and Army's sock puppet, ASOGG) are very well aware that we lost out because of the meaningless games won during the last 25 games.

While the Blues were playing .700 hockey, the Florida Panthers were losing 7 of their last 10. As I said before, the last 25 games is Doug Armstrong's "killing season". His teams hit every disinterested player moving in a golf cart, and they win BIG--for the last 15 years.

The team under Montgomery had a .642 point % over 60 games. I'm interested to see if he can keep it over .600 which would get them in the playoffs.

Dynamics do change year to year. Schenn and Faulk are older, so do you they keep declining , bounce back, stay the same? Holloway, Broberg, Bolduc, Snuggerud, Neighbours are all younger players who could keep improving, level off or take a step back? Who else steps up and who steps back? What do other teams do to improve or fall off? Yep lot of things could happen to make next year great or a letdown. So in other words, pretty much like any new season.

Two ways to look at the new season following the results of the last 25 games...
A) the team has turned the corner, and the winning will be fabulous going forward. Enjoy.
B) Forget about the last 25. Winning is hard. Here's hoping for the best. The coach will get them turned around--hopefully.
