What to do with Gorman and Walker?

What to do with Gorman and Walker?
Obviously, they aren't very productive, right now. Both are very streaky. Would it be better to send them down to try to get better for a return later in the season to help the Cardinals? And possibly build up some trade value at AAA. Or just keep them as part-time players with the Cardinals, for now. Outfielder, Nathan Church, is really hitting well at Memphis. As was Saggese. So either of those players might be good replacements for Gorman and Walker or both for a while.
Re: What to do with Gorman and Walker?
I think you just have to ride through it!
Still not June and a month before the deadline.
Unfortunately I don’t see how AAA could improve their trade value??

Re: What to do with Gorman and Walker?
If they start hitting really well at AAA before the trade deadline. Actually, I saw this suggestion from another poster on another thread. Something to that effect. What if Church and Saggese can help the Cardinals win more games than Gorman and Walker can?

Ok you’re entitled to that valid opinion. And neither of us has a crystal ball.
Question to you:
If you were a GM. You see players struggling. They go to the Minors and hit.
Would that increase your trade interest??

why didn't you ask him about it on that thread? Why did you need to start your own thread on a topic already going? Etiquette...it's a thing

DFA and promote next two guys that record a hit in Low-A. Their time, whoever they are, has come.

that's funny...coming from you.Shady wrote: ↑22 Jun 2025 18:09 pmGuru, you are an picky, annoying dude.craviduce wrote: ↑22 Jun 2025 18:08 pmwhy didn't you ask him about it on that thread? Why did you need to start your own thread on a topic already going? Etiquette...it's a thing
More name calling from you, when you're cornered and I guess afraid? Pull the shades up...get some light in there.
Re: What to do with Gorman and Walker?
Some others you say nothing to when they do the same thing I do. By the way, I believe the other thread was referring to just Walker. So mine is more inclusive. Get it? Why not just participate in the thread instead of trying to be the CT monitor?craviduce wrote: ↑22 Jun 2025 18:11 pmthat's funny...coming from you.Shady wrote: ↑22 Jun 2025 18:09 pmGuru, you are an picky, annoying dude.craviduce wrote: ↑22 Jun 2025 18:08 pmwhy didn't you ask him about it on that thread? Obviously, you have no clue as to how productive Church and Saggese have been at AAA, recently. Why not educate yourself before trying to be a menace?CorneliusWolfe wrote: ↑22 Jun 2025 18:11 pm DFA and promote next two guys that record a hit in Low-A. Their time, whoever they are, has come.

I wouldn’t get onto it with the most productive poster on CT. It makes you look like a fool.

Then promote them and make them starters and DFA anyone standing in their way.Shady wrote: ↑22 Jun 2025 18:17 pmObviously, you have no clue as to how productive Church and Saggese have been at AAA,recently. Re: What to do with Gorman and Walker?
How bout giving them a chance to improve, without a need for a trade, and keeping Saggese up and bring up Antico.
Re: What to do with Gorman and Walker?
Absolutely. Considering how young and talented both Gorman and Walker are. Pretty soon the Cardinals need to consider if both Gorman and Walker are replaceable. ex. Wetherholt, Saggese, Church, Baez, etc. And infielder, Prieto, just keeps hitting, impressively, at Memphis.Cusecards wrote: ↑22 Jun 2025 18:07 pmOk you’re entitled to that valid opinion. He is too defensive toward me. It's not necessary. I'm not the threat he assumes I am to his expertise.Cranny wrote: ↑22 Jun 2025 18:18 pmShady -Shady wrote: ↑22 Jun 2025 18:13 pmSome others you say nothing to when they do the same thing I do.
