Verbal commitment per Elliotte Friedman and multiple others(Dreger, Pagnotta, LeBrun, Wyshynski, etc...).
Apparently can't officially sign until July 1st(which honestly doesn't make any sense to me given that he's already an UFA, his previous contract expired following the 22-23 season).

Well the new NHL season doesn't start until July 1, so odds are since he isn't currently under contract with a team the contract wouldn't be official if signed before.

Makes sense he’d go play for his hometown team. Probably as their 3C. I expect it to be a low cap hit but with incentives added. But we likely won’t hear the contract details until it becomes official on 7/1.

According to reports; it's a 2 mil base with an additional 5 mil in potential bonuses.
