It seems some of the CT gurus would rather participate in mindless tomfoolery and ridiculous sock conspiracy [nonsense] than comment on a timely Cardinals baseball OP. I guess that is what a superiority complex looks like.

Get help. Please. You lashed out at nothing. I know we've had our issues and said bad things to each other but this isn't right. Call your son, a friend, someone.

Very interesting question - and extremely timely given decisions the team will be making in the near future with each of them.
Position player is the easier to analyze.
Gorman is the clearly the best bet - he has the best track record and the highest upside.
Pitchers are always more difficult, for several reasons - not the least of which is the higher probability of injuries.
I would say Roby.
Why?
LH pitchers tend to be less predictable than RH pitchers - both on the upside and on the downside.
And between Roby and Hence, the former has the better frame to handle a starting role.
Hence is destined for the BP - or for a series of injuries.
Bottom line - Mathews has a higher ceiling than Roby but also a higher risk factor.
Therefore, Roby is the logical bet.
One other quick point.
I don't "feel" about players' future - I think.

Saggese. I’ve seen too much inconsistency from Gorman
and Walker. Due to infield glut I think Gorman likely traded.

I don’t know pitchers well enough.

I will take the big lefthander out of Stanford. Have to be honest, never really seen any of those guys pitch. It's a real close call between Walker and Gorman for me. Right now it's probably Gorman has he has proven to be a real power threat and has put up 27 home runs and an .800 ops. Walker has more upside though if he can find it, more tools I think.

Matthews/ Gorman
