I went last year and was the only person in the arena watching Dalibor and Buchinger pass and shoot away from the team...good times.

To me, the main standout news here is the inclusion of the Russians - Koromyslov, Korotky and Susuyev. Koromyslov and Korotky have yet to attend one of these. Koromyslov has been solid in the KHL for a couple years now. It’d be awesome if this was a signal he was coming over. My understanding is he’s signed in the KHL another year though.

Korotky did very well this season for a 7th rounder. Very talented. Probably the best player in Russian Jrs and earned some time with SKA’s KHL team as a teenager.

Susuyev I don’t value quite as much as the other 2 but he’s also quite talented and it’d be great if he came over.

I also like to see Mrsic included as this tells me he’s likely over the concussion he suffered from getting kicked in the face with a skate.

They’re also keeping it pretty young/inexperienced this year. Nobody with any AHL experience included, which probably makes sense. I expect guys like Dvorsky, Stenberg, Snuggerud etc to probably be on the Prospects Showcase team in Sept though.

No omissions that I see. We lost the rights to Mayich as he wasn’t signed by June 1st.

Interesting they invited Broberg’s younger brother. Looks like he had a decent freshman college season. Kehrer was signed by the T-birds out of Wisconsin late this season but he didn’t get into any games after turning pro. Dont really know much about the other invitees but for the most part, they just need bodies to have enough guys to scrimmage. But they’ll only invite guys that they see at least something in.

I believe Koromyslov attended last years development camp. I thought he may come over this year, but is sounded like he resigned in the KHL for at least another year. Maybe he comes over at the end of next season.

I just found the roster from last year and he’s listed on it but I don’t recall him actually attending either. Maybe he was planning to and then didn’t? Idk.

I am either blind or they removed Korotky from the roster as he’s not listed anymore.

Effing Mandela Effect strikes again!

Either that or Korotky/his agent saw the release and was like, no…actually…he’s not coming after all… and so they quietly deleted his name from the list.

But I think the conspiracy theory reason is more fun. :)
