The Organization tried making him a starter last season...disastrous results : 7.68 ERA with 17 starts before losing his starting role in 2024. He could never regain his 2023 reliever form this season. 12.96 ERA in 2025, mounting HBP, WP, Walks, and plenty of blown saves....the organization finally sent him back to square 1.

Nunez throws near 100mph with a good curve. When he can command both pitches, he's extremely good reliever. He's only had one season, 2023, where he showed anything resembling command.

RHP Edwin Nuñez has been transferred from Springfield to the FCL.

That's interesting... do you think there's anything to make of this "demotion," or they're just trying to ease him back in?
