Ok
Never going to happen but it's a Friday so what the heck.
IF the Rays were open to it, then would you offer N. Gorman or J. Walker for K. Cash?
Cash turns 48 years old in December and has managed the Rays now for eleven (11) season including 2025:
855 - 731
.539 winning%
1 AL Pennant
5 Playoff Teams
2 First Place finishes in the rough AL East
2 Second place finishes
3 Third Place finishes
The Cardinals reversed their losing ways in the 1970's by bringing in Whitey Herzog/1980 and then in the 1990's Tony LaRussa/1996.
We know new POBO C. Bloom, when he takes over, is extremely aware of Cash having worked w/him in Tampa for years.
Cash also has early coaching ties to the Cleveland Indians (yes they were the Indians when he worked there), the same organization that Rob Cerfolio came from.
Cash inked a deal w/the Rays that takes him thru the 2030 season.
Would Bloom/Cerfolio make such a move?
Would the Rays be open to it?
Probably not.
Just a thought, some fun during this tough stretch of Cardinals losses.
GO CARDS!
Would you trade Gorman or Walker for Kevin Cash?

No. Nothing against Cash- he is excellent. There are other excellent managers that you wouldn't have to give up a player for. Skip comes to mind.

I wonder if Bloom goes outside the Cardinals family which would eliminate a guy like Skip.Talkin' Baseball wrote: ↑13 Jun 2025 13:24 pm No. Nothing against Cash- he is excellent. There are other excellent managers that you wouldn't have to give up a player for. Skip comes to mind.
