Aaron Judge--No one is talking about it--Probably having the greatest season in the history of baseball
I am making this argument.
He's almost hitting .400 at .392
He's got 25 HR's
OPS is a staggering 1.264
Has 59 RBI's
His OBP is at 50% Insane!!
He's on pace for .392 60 and 142
This is incredible when you consider only 16 players hitting
above .300 and the pitching is likely better than ever.
Only Barry Bonds, Babe Ruth and Ted Williams could compare.
Barry was on roids, Babe and Ted were playing in a soft pitching era.
I think this guy if it continues claims the best season in history.

299 plate appearances and similar to Mantle first 299 PAs in 1956. Mantle had the same number of runs scored, two more homers, and eight more RBIs to go with a .380/.466/.765/1.231 batting line with 41 walks and 34 strikeouts.Bully4you wrote: ↑13 Jun 2025 05:03 am I am making this argument.

In fact, there are millions of baseball fans talking about it. Judge is having a monster year, so far. If he does continue to rake at his current rate, he would place himself among the all time greatest offensive seasons ever compiled.
You mentioned Bonds, Ruth, and Williams - but there are others: Gehrig in 1927 - 47 HR, 173 RBI, 52 doubles, 218 hits, 149 runs, .373/.474/.765/1.240.
Hornsby in 1922 - 42 HR, 152 RBI, 46 doubles, 250 hits, 141 runs, .401/.459/.752/1.181.
Jimmie Foxx in 1932, Musial in 1948. DiMaggio in 1937.

There's also Tris Speaker, who in his first 301 PAs in 1916 was hitting .390/.478/.534/1.012. Of course that was in the deadball era when teams were averaging 3.7 runs a game.12xu wrote: ↑13 Jun 2025 07:07 am In fact, there are millions of baseball fans talking about it. His 249 OPS+ would trail only Barry Bonds (3x) and Babe Ruth for best seasons in history. His BABIP is an absurd .465Bully4you wrote: ↑13 Jun 2025 05:03 am I am making this argument.

and most fresh pitching ever as well?
The use of the bull pen and starters
have teams with mainly fresh arms
all year long.

Yep. Also, the negro league too.12xu wrote: ↑13 Jun 2025 07:07 am In fact, there are millions of baseball fans talking about it. Judge is having a monster year, so far. But I don't consider the pitching
back then to be so good. At least
not as good as today.

I'm a big Judge fan. As a taller individual, I understand the unique challenges big guys face athletically. I was never very coordinated and struggled playing sports as a boy and young man.Bully4you wrote: ↑13 Jun 2025 05:03 am I am making this argument.

With that said....
1. Baseball is a marathon and not a sprint. 10 weeks of incredible baseball doesn't make your season immortal. Let's see where we're at in August & September!
2. The bar is pretty simple. NL = Rogers Hornsby 1922. 250 hits, 42 HR. .401 BA. AL = Babe Ruth 1921. 59 HR, 168 RBI, 177 runs scored.
Judge is incredible. Amazing.

better the 1st half of the year?
Sometimes fatigue factors into the season.
Judge being so big may tire quicker.
