I mentioned him some time ago. He checks in here batting .272 with a .746 ops. Hey I think that's a bit higher than our Willson. Bichette 17 doubles and 8 homers, would you call that a rebound year? And he's typically a second half player.
At the very least it'll be interesting to see what type of contract he sets himself up for. There's a lot of variance in how he plays this year. He hasn't graded as a very good SS, I wonder what the chances are he plays a different position in his next deal. Maybe there would be select circumstances where he might be a fit in St Louis. He would be another RH hitter to help our very left handed lineup (with Wetherholt and Davis on the way).
One argument against him (in our case) is that we would be looking to add more power and Bichette is another doubles guy like Donovan and maybe Wetherholt might be. Where we would we go to add power? Pete Alonso? Imagine that guy sitting 4th behind Donovan.
Bo Bichette

Re: Bo Bichette
I don’t see any fit. Also don’t think he’s worth all that much but maybe some less analytically inclined team will overpay him?
He’s not a strong defender
He’s a poor baserunner
He lacks bat speed
His plate discipline stinks
Maybe you’re overrating him based on a couple of big Septembers?

Re: Bo Bichette
He has a very similar hitting profile to his dad who slashed .299 .336 .499 (ops+ of 107, for that era).
Maybe that means Bo Bitchette is a Colorado Rockie to be come 2026.
