Put these three Blues down for 40+ goals next season

The St. Louis Blues have not had a 40+ goal scorer since Vladimir Tarasenko had 40 goals in 2015-16. It's hard to believe it was a decade ago, and it's even more shocking.
For the 2025-26 season, there is a solid chance that they will return to the playoff picture. With that said, there is also a great chance that a player can break that 40+ goal-scoring drought.
Put down these three players as solid candidates to do it.

Well they got 2 of 3 right but they did say snuggerud is a shot in the dark. Personally i think the only other players with 40 goal potential is bolduc if he plays 1st line or neighbours if he plays first line and has another crazy season in the crease. Neither will happenn and idk what buch’s ceiling is when he catches his 2nd wind. Just saying those probably are our next closest candidates and a glaring need.TBone wrote: ↑08 Jun 2025 12:32 pm Put these three Blues down for 40+ goals next season

I think all four lines have a chance...even Dvorsky if he plays half the season...
Actually....40 seems way too low - let's do 55 goals. Records will be set ladies and gentlemen.

i like Bolduc and Neighbors both neither will be 40+ next year.
Kryou is the most likely
Holloway has next best chance.
Buch, Neighors, Bolduc in the 25 to 30 range.

Goal POTENTIAL.
JK deserves that top spot. I'd say sure, potentially, include Snuggs, Dylan and Zack.
I think Holloway is likely the best hockey player, but that's not the question.
If they ever do make it, I am of the opinion that Bolduc will be the first of them.

Realistically, Kyrou has a chance. Just want to see a fully healthy Holloway. If those guys play on the same line it's unlikely they both net 40.
Snuggerud? First, I hope he doesn't play himself off the team. Second, I hope he's not a liability defensively. Third, anything over 20 goals close to or above even +/- would be just fine and constitute a breakout season.
The Blues have at least seven wingers who can make a case for being on a PP unit, plus Thomas, Schenn, Dvorsky, and Sunny. There is only one puck.

Bolduc will be lucky to stay on the 3rd line until he improves his defense. You simply can't have him on a top 2 line with other teams' top lines.Younghopp1991 wrote: ↑08 Jun 2025 12:48 pmWell they got 2 of 3 right but they did say snuggerud is a shot in the dark. Re: Put These Three Blues Down For 40+ Goal Potential Next Season
Im only saying that those two are the only ones with a outside chance of sniffing 40 with all things breaking right. Not advocating for either to be in top 6. If bolduc and neighbours are both on your 3rd line and not many griping that they should be up higher the we have a deeo too 9 with skill.rezero wrote: ↑08 Jun 2025 19:42 pmBolduc will be lucky to stay on the 3rd line until he improves his defense. I love the optimism and the projection, but I would bet Buch has a more realistic shot at 40 next year than Snuggerud. However, I would love to be wrong, and usually I am.

Don't know if it was bad puck luck, or jitters, but Buch seemed to miss a bunch of great chances last year, though seemed to find it again later in the season.hockey jedi wrote: ↑08 Jun 2025 21:55 pm I love the optimism and the projection, but I would bet Buch has a more realistic shot at 40 next year than Snuggerud. Potential definitely there. But they need another high level pure Center to make that a reality.
Re: Put These Three Blues Down For 40+ Goal Potential Next Season
Hopefully Kyrou, Holloway and Neighbours get 30. If those 3 hit 30 this team will be back in contention.

Buch is lucky to have a job in the NHL.hockey jedi wrote: ↑08 Jun 2025 21:55 pm I love the optimism and the projection, but I would bet Buch has a more realistic shot at 40 next year than Snuggerud. However, I would love to be wrong, and usually I am.![]()
