Another blown save today. His k’s are down, his h/9 is up. Losing almost any value he once had.

I agree he should have been dealt, but he pitched a good inning. Tough luck

Crawl back in your basement!
You’re obviously a sock/troll that knows nothing.
Cheap infield hit and a blooper to CF.
Then a run on a strikeout.
Take a hike!!!!
Go Cards......winner!!!!!!

I like the guy, but it was a dumb move for the future of the franchise. He’s not getting extended

Looked ok to me. You can only strike out 3 and he did, unless there is a passed ball on strike three. Still has a lot of value, fluke hits happen.

Anybody who blames Helsley for that 9th inning knows absolutely nothing about baseball.

Don't you feel kinda silly? Kim, Ohtani, Betts and Freeman to save one run. Probably the hardest save in baseball. He strikes out 3 guys. They get a hit with a squibber bouncing off 2B.... Score a run on a K. Cards win.

The statement would still correct if Helsley was perfect on the year with an era under 1. But it’s obvious watching that his stuff isn’t the same as last year. It was foolish to not maximize his value when we are not going to be extending him.

Legit complaint, but add some substance to the title of your thread.
Please include any offers that they turned down, and from who.

Tough crowd!

He struck out the side. Base hit on a simple grounder Winn was waiting on. WP called (ball should've been blocked) on strike 3 allows a run to score.

Maybe RH should've been traded...but...if the Cards hope to have a legit shot at the playoffs, they need him on the team this entire season.

His stuff looked pretty darn good as he was striking out the heart of the Dodgers order.

If you completely remove Helsley from this bullpen, I think it creates serious problems and the team is nowhere near as good as they've been this season.

Would have been better if Graceffo was currently closing, right?
