Braves bullpen

Post by Futuregm2 »

Braves just blew a 10-4 9th inning lead to the Dbacks. They may have the best names for a bullpen choke job.

Scott Blewett gave up 5 of the runs in the 9th inning. And Aaron Bummer also was a reliever in the game.

They need to bring back Homer Bailey and Grant Ballfour and put them in the bullpen.

And, the Braves once had a pitcher named Bob Walk.

The Braves led 10-4 today with one out in the 9th...at home. But you know what relievers and closers always say: Those last two outs with nobody on base and a six-run lead are the hardest outs to get.

Time for Atlanta to fire another base coach, eh?

The 9th man to bat in the 9th, who drove in the 9th run, itinerant utilityman Ildemaro Vargas, is on his fourth tour with AZ. They've sold, traded, or released him 3 times.

So far.

These last 3 seasons, with all their late rallies, the Diamondbacks PBP announcer Steve Berthiaune has affectionately called them the "Answerbacks".

They are calling up Craig Kimbrel who they had signed to a minor league deal. I guess things have come full circle. That ought to solidify the bullpen.
