Happy For Gorman

Post by southernblues »

On that triple a lot of players would have taken the for granted that was a homer. He's to young to trade would turn out like Garcia and Arozarena trades.

I doubt they trade him unless part of a package to get a high end player/pitcher.
He is under team control and makes peanuts.
Throw in low trade value so why deal him now?

He did a great job of hustling on that play. Maybe he can build on the last two days and get his bat going. He will lengthen the depth of the team if he can hit.

All he needs is playing time.

Agree, but not sure he will get it.

Yes. They would be I think. I was referring to when things are going bad, those kind of plays get made against you. When it is going your way, those balls fall in. It’s going our way right now.

Never thought would get to the point where fans are praising a player for running hard out of the box. It’s because more and more guys stand there admiring their high long hit ball sometimes not caught and batter is only in 2nd or worse yet held to a single.
Poor example for kids .

It all started in wiffle ball, left field ball, wall ball, Indian ball, etc. all ball games with no runners, all ghost runners.

So when you nailed one, all you can do is watch it. No base running.

What were once vices are now Habits.

Burly would have to be traded for that to happen.

That’s the point. Team is winning. Gorman hasn’t been a part of that. Who does he play for? If it ain’t broke let’s not fix it.

Bad break for Gorman- a sub on a hot team.

Rock and roll hoochie coo. He gave Edgar Winter his first big break. Hence the song Free Ride and Frankenstein.
