This has always been the concern that these hitters would revert back to their norms. Now look out for the starting pitching. And if it’s going to happen, let’s hope it shows itself before the trade deadline so Cards don’t miss an opportunity to improve for the next couple of years.

Yes. We are doing this regardless of our success this year. As to the hitting. They all can’t go bad at once, so someone or two will emerge to carry the team. Then the struggling will get hot.

Not too concerned right now. We just came off a massive sweep of the Dbacks. Recently we’ve faced a mix of really good and really bad pitching.

Orioles (3rd worst in RA/G) currently
Dbacks (7th worst in RA/G)
Tigers (8th best in RA/G)
Royals (2nd best in RA/G)
Phillies (13th best in RA/G)

After Baltimore we face the Rangers who are the 4th best in RA/G.

Win the next 2 vs Baltimore and we get another series win.

IF this team is going to slip, then let it be before the trade deadline so they can start selling off (and no I'm not giving up on the season, just being realistic) Helsley, Fedde, Matz and Mikolas if he'll waive the NTC.

NADO could be gone too but we know he won't waive unless it's his preferred landing spot.

What got me looking was being shutdown yesterday by a 41 year old who came in w/a 7.68 ERA.

Let's hope they win tonight (and tomorrow weather permitting).
