As I predicted yesterday though Jim Hayes said in pregame that Contrereas would return Sunday, after the game I felt since thf team won that Oli would hold him for today.

Rest him for series starting in Baltimore .
Had Cards nit played well and lost, he probably would have been playing today IMO

Willson Contreras (back spasms) is out again even though manager Oli Marmol said he expected a return by the first baseman today. The #STLCards go for a sweep of the #Dbacks behind Sonny Gray.
