So I guess Carolina is worse than Leafs?
Down 3-0 in the 1st period of Game 2 and looking lifeless. Turnovers and a stupid penalty.
Anderson is a sieve.
At least the Leafs won the 1st 2 at home before stinking it up.

This is looking like a sweep. In fact both conference finals look lopsided.

Hurricanes sure look good

8 combined shots in the period is crazy, as is 3 goals on 5 shots for Florida. Andersen this generation’s CuJo confirmed.

Any idea that jack roslovic may be a fa option for a 2c. Please no.

Carolina just cannot convert on the few scoring chances they've had. Just had a 2 on 1 and didn't even get a shot off. They can't even get control of the puck in their zone or the o-zone.
And now it's 4-0 after sustained pressure in the Carolina zone.
The Canes have 7 shots in 2 periods.

Carolina had an easy road. Devils were beat up and Washington wayyy overachieved their roster

Panthers are just big and bad….intimidation, talent and a win at all costs mentality is hard to beat and then they add the future HOF’er at the deadline…beauty of a move. Ad much as I’ve never been a panthers fan…they play hockey the way it’s supposed to be played.

3rd period just started, and I see a lot of empty seats, so the boos won't be as loud.

The Leafs might be the 2nd best team in the NHL....and going into decisions, decisions.

I'm disappointed in Carolina, wanted them to make this a good series. I don't see them winning game 3 in Florida.

U forget marner has to want to stay. And I don't think he does. Leafs tried to trade him at the deadline and he blocked the trade. I think he's got one foot out the door.IsDurbanodoingtime wrote: ↑22 May 2025 22:11 pmYes, makes you think twice giving away a 100 pt selke forward for nothing because the media is calling for it.

Carolina is a pretender and has been for years. Kind of like Toronto has been. Great regular season team, but they don’t have the make up to win in the playoffs. Rantanen would have helped them, but still wouldn’t have given them what they needed to win it all.
Re: So I guess Carolina is worse than Leafs?
Watching Tkachuk and Verhaeghe operate around the net makes me wonder why the Canes and other teams can't do it, too. There aren't any secrets: when you have a shot take it, take the puck to the net, look for guys breaking into the slot or backdoor post, and if you don't have the puck move to open space in front the net or off a post. I mean, what forward CAN'T do that?
Yet over and over we see [Canes] forwards pulling up looking to pass and getting checked off the puck, or taking outside shots that have little hope of getting through to the net. Very little movement in and around the slot, around the net. Rod has to be pulling out his hair, his team is playing tea time with snarly fang-toothed animals.
