I haven't seen most of these guys, but I'll just say I hope they stay away from Arquette. I've never seen a successful MLB hitter with as weird looking a swing as that.
Re: Right now, six viable candidates to be the Cardinals pick at #5.
There seem to be three top of the rotation staring pitchers here, Arnold, Hernadez and Doyle. Hernandez, who is a high schooler, probably has the highest ceiling.
Re: Right now, six viable candidates to be the Cardinals pick at #5.
Those aren't necessarily all Top of the Rotation. Please, Stahp. The Floor to Ceiling on Doyle is TALL. Hernandez could be TOTR. Arnold is #3 at best...4/5 worst....he probably moves the fastest...or succeeds the fastest.

I'm warming up to Doyle.craviduce wrote: ↑17 May 2025 10:10 amThose aren't necessarily all Top of the Rotation. Please, Stahp. The Floor to Ceiling on Doyle is TALL. Hernandez could be TOTR. Arnold is #3 at best...4/5 worst....he probably moves the fastest...or succeeds the fastest.

he's the biggest risk of the all...with a great reward. If he falls to his floor, he's a reliever....long fall from his ceiling. The other pitchers have a softer landing on their Floor.Shady wrote: ↑17 May 2025 10:37 amI'm warming up to Doyle.craviduce wrote: ↑17 May 2025 10:10 amThose aren't necessarily all Top of the Rotation. "he's the biggest risk of the all...with a great reward". Actually, that's the way I see it with the high schooler, Hernandez. But you've studied the situation more than I have.craviduce wrote: ↑17 May 2025 10:40 amhe's the biggest risk of the all...with a great reward. From what I saw in an AB today, I now see why LaViolette has slipped in the rankings.

Go to it if this one doesn't suit you.greyhawk wrote: ↑17 May 2025 12:45 pm Isn't there a thread on CT for this discussion?

That thread will not garner the attention Shady so desperately craves.greyhawk wrote: ↑17 May 2025 12:45 pm Isn't there a thread on CT for this discussion?

Or..you could stop spamming the board with duplicate threads. Yours is the problem behavior.Shady wrote: ↑17 May 2025 12:46 pmGo to it if this one doesn't suit you.greyhawk wrote: ↑17 May 2025 12:45 pm Isn't there a thread on CT for this discussion?

Re: Right now, six viable candidates to be the Cardinals pick at #5.
The whole point of a draft thread is to keep that kind of stuff to one thread so the board doesn’t get spammed with it. But you obviously don’t get the purpose of not having spam threads.Shady wrote: ↑17 May 2025 12:46 pmGo to it if this one doesn't suit you.greyhawk wrote: ↑17 May 2025 12:45 pm Isn't there a thread on CT for this discussion?

That pretty much says it all. One AB and everything changes. Another AB will happen and the LaViolette train will be back in motion in ShadyLand
