With Robberse going down, any chance Roby gets promoted?
If his next start is really good. At 23, Roby has tremendous potential as a future starting pitcher or a back end reliever.

Robberse hadn’t made a start in almost a month so I don’t know why him having TJ surgery would impact a move now.

Yup. Him going down in the minors clears a spot on the big club. Cause he was pitching not at the big club. I see your logic.

Did you know....
Roby has 6 starts in AA and is averaging less than 4 innings per start?
Maybe we should hold off on his Red Jacket for a minute...
Re: With Robberse going down, any chance Roby gets promoted?
should we tell him who is taking Robberse spot?
Or should we bump the TCN Drew Rom threads from Shady in February/March 2024? "The next Jon Tudor, Drew Rom will anchor the Cards rotation for years to come"
some paraphrasing there.

Concentrating on McGreevy and Mathews right now for 2026. Who are worth watching below the Pallante, Liberatore, McGreevy, Graceffo, Roby, and Hence, Robberse talent level? Bedell and Cornwall are having bad years. Taylor is 29. Hansen and Henderson are doing well. Mautz is starting to come on.

Mautz has been impressive. And Roby's current 3.09 ERA ain't too bad. He's pitching tonight.Cranny wrote: ↑16 May 2025 10:06 am Concentrating on McGreevy and Mathews right now for 2026. And what about his averaging less than 4 innings per start? How would you classify this data point?Shady wrote: ↑16 May 2025 10:27 amMautz has been impressive. Like I said, "Roby's current 3.09 ERA ain't too bad". 24 SO in 23.1 IP. I believe he had a 5 innings, shut out game. MDT, Roby really has some talent. Hope he can stay healthy and keep building up his endurance.Monsieur De Treville wrote: ↑16 May 2025 11:23 amAnd what about his averaging less than 4 innings per start? He had a great first couple of starts. His last 4 starts have not been so good. A 4.70 ERA, 14 K-8 BB in 15.1 IP. Yet, you’re talking about promoting him.Shady wrote: ↑16 May 2025 11:43 amLike I said, "Roby's current 3.09 ERA ain't too bad". 24 SO in 23.1 IP. I believe he had a 5 innings, shut out game.
