NONE of them are heroes. But they are ALL role models. Unfortunately too many (this means one +) are childish brats lacking emotional regulation.
When I see a young amateur mimic this behavior it is sad indeed...I don't care how much money Mommy & Daddy make. It's just a game.
Golf has cracked down on foul or abusive language on the course, as it may be heard by spectators in the gallery or on TV. Allowing closeness to the action enhances the spectators' experience and revenue. On the surface that surveillance of language bothers my 1st Amendment sensibilities. However, I get the concern over revenue impact to the overall field if people choose to turning off, tuning out.
In the case of hockey sticks, baseball bats, or whatever, when other players, Trainers, Coaches, spectators are injured due to non-accidental temper-tantrums, they need to suspend the offender from play as well as demand a very large fine.
Must be nice to get as many sticks as you could ever want on the house while the rest of us pour over the web to find older models on clearance that hopefully match our preferred curve and flex.
