Hellebuyck Lets In Another Softie
Stars up 1-0 after 20 minutes. Terrible goal, but it didn't seem to deflate the Jets.

Why should it? He's only given up a baker's dozen of soft goals this playoffs. It'd have to be spectacularly bad to deflate them...

I'm pulling for the Jets. I hate the state of Texas more than I hate Winnipeg. It's time for them to get a taste.

I'm certainly not a Stars fan but right now I just want the Jets tent to fold. If the Jets advance I might view them more favorably. Might.hockey jedi wrote: ↑13 May 2025 20:11 pm I'm pulling for the Jets. I hate the state of Texas more than I hate Winnipeg. It's time for them to get a taste.
Full disclosure: I live in Georgia, was a Thrashers fan. The Jets in many ways are a bridge too far for me.

2-1 Stars after 40. Jets had the better of the play in the second, but come out down by one. Oettinger stoned Conner, I mean stoned and the next shift, Dallas comes down 2 on 1 and Granlund gets his second of the game.

Did you catch the shot of the fan in a Thrashers' jersey?DawgDad wrote: ↑13 May 2025 20:41 pmI'm certainly not a Stars fan but right now I just want the Jets tent to fold. Granlund with a hat trick. Lights are flickering on the Jets.

I want the Stars to end this in 5. Let the Jets fans feel the sting of misery. lol
Not because I'm upset about the Blues loss, but because you know Jets fans were thinking they had "a team of destiny" after that lucky *ss Game 7. That's why, no matter what fashion it's in, a first round loss in Game 7 is never as bad as a subsequent round, and so on and so on.
Fortunately the Cards have picked up right where the Blues left off and there's exciting sports to watch in STL again!
May only have 2 of the Big 4 in STL but it's year round so as long as they're both competitive, can't complain. The dark days are gone for at least 5-10 years for both teams. Yeeeeehaaaaaw!

I was for the Jets because they beat us. I’d like to think the better team beat us. But except for 1 game, Dallas is playing well and I am in Texas and go see the Stars minor league team, but I wear
My Blues all over the city. I hate to see our direct competitor get ahead of us in many ways. It is very good for the State when a Championship is won so I guess I can live with Dallas going all the way . They didn’t get their (2nd) Cup out of the way. That’s another reason. I was hoping the Jets would win because they’ve never won a cup and it’s good for their fan base too.
But frankly, I’m not rooting for any particular team yet maybe the final round I will

Used to visit Atlanta back in the 90s. Caught a couple Atlanta knights games.Spyro Gyra wrote: ↑13 May 2025 20:48 pmDid you catch the shot of the fan in a Thrashers' jersey?DawgDad wrote: ↑13 May 2025 20:41 pmI'm certainly not a Stars fan but right now I just want the Jets tent to fold. Saw Brent Gretzky and Nick Vachon. Was almost like hockey royalty, twice removed.
