Never would have been necessary if they kept him in the pen. He has immense value as a top starter, and that sure looks more and more what he is developing into.

How many Cardinals are out performing him this year?
I’ll give you a not wank. Not many.

I'll take Noot and Scott over Aroz.Alex Reyes Cy Young wrote: ↑06 May 2025 19:58 pmHow many Cardinals are out performing him this year?

Aroz is fine, but he's not a star.

Yea after years of stunting his development and mishandling him by jerking him between the rotation and bullpen Mo finally got smart enough to put him in the rotation and leave him there. Kudos for him sure he was slow Mo but he finally wised up

I must have missed the part where Libs has got the cards to the world series and he set some record equal to most home runs in a single post season. Would tampa trade that away and have them not get to the world series, based on this now one month of Libs lol, heck its 5 years later lol

Arozarena had produced 13.6 War while Matthew 2.3. As of at this point in this season he is however out performing Randy. Still has a ways to go though to call the trade even. Hopefully he performs this way for a few more years for the Cards.

Arozarena currently at 13.4/13.7 fWAR/bWAR with Tampa and Seattle, and will be a FA in 2027.
Liberatore currently at 2.3/0.0 fWAR/bWAR and will be a free agent in 2030.
Health permitting, Liberatore has enough time to catch Arozarena in surplus value, but he has some work to do over the next few years.

Are you mental? This trade was declared a bust years ago. So unless you have a time machine ...
Seriously, though, this one's finally starting to look good for Mo. And on that note, can you imagine if Burly, Gorman, and Walker all found their stroke in the next month or two, Herrara comes back and hits like a middle order bat, and they lead the Cards on a 2nd half tear to win the division and a playoff victory?
Not only would Mo give us all a big double fist out the door, he'd look like a genius who set the Cards up for success for the next decade.
Ah ... it's fun to dream.

Question:
If after the 2015 season, the Cubs traded Hendricks for a 17 year old Tatis Jr. and the Cubs didn't win a WS, who would you declare the winner of the trade?
We all know if we were Cubs fans today, we would be very happy Tatis and his 161 OPS+ is a Cub over a 35 year old Hendricks.
But, knowing what we know now, who would've won this trade?
