As gut-wrenching as it is for a fan, imagine what this is like for the Blues organization. We have images burned into our brain from watching it on TV; they have real-life images from right in the action. "What if" replays that will haunt them for years.
So, what does it take to shake this? Seriously, some will live this for the rest of their life.
Very tough way to end a season.

We all love the Blues.
But,
I didn't see a group that will be thinking about this series to long.

Re: Imagine experiencing this as a player or coach
I took a devastating loss yesterday as a coach/dad then came home and watched this hockey game. Was not a great day but better to take devastating losses, than not be in the game.
Re: Imagine experiencing this as a player or coach
Had this team the roster to go all the way it would have been devastating. I think they knew they were too flawed to go deep. Devastated only in the moment. Today will look back and say how in the world did we get this far.
Re: Imagine experiencing this as a player or coach
I actually think this is harder on fans than it is on players. This is what we turn to in order to get away from the trials of life. While they no doubt care about it, this is their job. I suspect they are better at compartmentalizing this than we are.

Excellent response.
The loss hurt, but it did show the organization clearly where they need to improve. Shake off the loss and focus on what should be a bright future.

And remember…they get paid…very well to deal with gut wrenching loses like this…we…as fans…don’t. So keep that in mind when you dwell on the game…just flush it.
