Wife and I are trying to explore places on Ian Froeb's top 100. Tried El Molino last night. What a fantastic meal. I would call it upscale Mexican that locally sources as much as they can. In fact, we talked to the owner about it and the only thing they can't locally source is fish, as Bob's is no longer here to source the metro. They make all of the chips and tortillas on a cool looking machine that sits in the front of the place.
It's more of a Tapas style meal. On the front of the menu are the Tapas, from light to heavy, top to bottom. Back of the menu has some tacos and at the bottom some funky delicious small bites. I love tacos. The world needs tacos. This is not the place to get tacos though I suspect they are great. There is so much else to try. We ordered a ceviche, an octopus dish (best thing we ate, was cooked perfectly), some sort of funky dumpling and mushroom dish and one of the small bites. They also bring you chips and some kind of dipping thing at the beginning of the meal. I can't tell you what it was, but it was great. More than enough food for both of us. Wife had a glass of wine, I stuck to water (too much to drink at the Blues game the night before). Bill was 100 bucks before tip. More than reasonable considering the quality of food and care that was clearly taken in creating the menu and prepping the food.
Can't rec enough. Depending on where you live it's a bit off the path. 5000 block of S. Kingshighway. They take reservations. I am not an employee, and this is not a commerical.

Re: El Molino
I've been wanting to try it, but haven't gotten around to it yet. I have, however, eaten at his place at City Foundry. I had the tamale and it was pretty delicious.
