I think he's bringing the team down too.
Needs to be axed, moved whatever.
He's worse than last year.
Not sure anyone will take him.
Could he be exacting revenge on MO?

He only has 2/$30 left after this year. Someone will take that on. We won’t get much in return, but that’s low risk to a team with resources.
The better he plays, plus injury to other teams key players, I see a good return to the wrong team.
Worse than last year? Not sure about that but I’m too lazy to look up stats. His defense is still above average 3rd baseman. He has gotten some clutch hits.
My problem is not his performance. Even if at All Star level who cares? He does not fit the long term plans. He has caused a log jam in the infield positions. And yes he is eating available $$’s that could go toward rebuild.
Cardinals should have forced his hand into a trade before season started. And please don’t tell me the NTC stopped that.

His ops is .730 this year. It was .719 last year. His avg is lower. Its early but overall its about on par with last year. Lower avg but higher walk rate in smaller sample.
I wouldn’t say he’s worse than last year, but he’s certainly trending that way. After a great first week or so he came into today hitting .177/.261/.329 over his last 88 PAs.

Burleson has taken some heat for his lack of power production. But, Arenado, as the cleanup hitter, really needs to pick up his power numbers.

Not every single thread requires a Burleson cameo
Hotshot, you don't make the rules. Why not try to make an intelligent comment about Arenado's lack of power as the Cardinals cleanup hitter?

Serious question, not being sarcastic. Why do you insist on inserting Burleson into so many threads that aren't discussing him?

he doesn't. But you're breaking one. You're supposed to stay On Topic, not try to Hijack Threads. It's the ONE Thing that the Mod Dierker still holds dear...

Burleson takes way too much heat compared the the big money guys and higher draft choices.
