DBack put their closer on the IL........Helsley?
The D-backs announced Thursday that they’ve placed closer Justin Martinez on the 15-day injured list due to right shoulder inflammation.
Also lost Puk.
Martinez and Puk are the team’s two best relievers and entered the year as the favorites to work in save and high-leverage hold situations. They’re both on the shelf, and while Puk’s flexor strain won’t require surgery, today’s move was to the 60-day IL. mlbtr.com

And they transferred their other closer from the 15 day IL to the 60 day IL.
They’ve been a team to show interest in him supposedly.
Not sure what they have to offer. Would they be willing to move Jordan Lawlar, Slade Caldwell, or Ryan Waldschmidt? Their top 10 is full of infielders and OFers.

Let’s figure. We are playing kids this year. Helsley will leave off season. We need a Third base stud or pitching ace. This is part of plan. If you can get either here, it’s part of the plan.Futuregm2 wrote: ↑01 May 2025 12:08 pm And they transferred their other closer from the 15 day IL to the 60 day IL.

If Moe wasn't blocking Chaim's direction, I am 100% they would do something like this, but Moe has to go out in a blaze of mediocrity.

The earlier you deal him, the better the return.

Re: DBack put their closer on the IL........Helsley?
Only if Bloom makes the deal

BINGO ! Mo should be on the phone, pronto. Ask for outfielder, Ryan Waldschmidt as part of the deal.

Have you seen his swing? Weird thing. No stride, all hands and torso, which "requires a ton of effort, so much that his head kicks around and he often loses sight of the baseball".Ryan Waldschmidt
Here's a good result from last month.

A first round draft choice. He must have something going for him, I saw him projected as a possible 20 HR/20 SB type MLB player.jcgmoi wrote: ↑01 May 2025 18:30 pmHave you seen his swing? I won't leave yet, and that's the truth
I'm goin' down, in a blaze of mediocrity
Lord I lasted 18 years
Who'd a thunk it
Don't test my knowledge
I know I'd flunk it
With apologies to Jon Bon Jovi

Strike while the irons hot and DBacks are in (possibly) panic mode about the back end of their pen'.Shady wrote: ↑01 May 2025 16:17 pmBINGO ! Mo should be on the phone, pronto. Ask for outfielder, Ryan Waldschmidt as part of the deal.
