Made me look. Turns out it's not as bad as you thought. There were 14-17 last year and 10-20 in the last place 2023, so same and way ahead this year. The Cardinals managed 1 run today and no hits after the 3rd inning. So they beat up on some nobody in the 2nd game of the doubleheader and then didn't score a single run after he departed. And the Cardinals scored a total of 3 runs against their other 3 starters plus Ashcraft, whom they couldn't hit at all.
