Florida Complex League opens on Saturday.

Rainiel Rodriguez and Yairo Padilla should be in the opening lineup....barring injuries we haven't been told about.

Looking forward to this Ixan Henderson start facing Cags and a high scoring NW Arkansas offense.

What's the story on Henderson and Savacool? I know it's early (how many of us were clamoring for Robberse at this time last year...) but those are nice numbers nonetheless.

Savacool is repeating Palm Beach. Maryland Terp alum, 2023 draft. Low 90's sinker, low 80's curve . Attacks at the bottom of the zone, and can miss below the zone, so the walks sometimes stack up in a game, which inflates the overall walk rate....ex: 4 last week for 6 on the season. Same as last year....a few games got away from him for 48 walks on the season. Turns 23 in 3 weeks.

---------------

Henderson low to mid 90's fastball (when he throws 100%), hides the ball fairly well for deception. 2023 draft from Fresno State, 8th round). His location is superb. Mostly, he doesn't leave himself open to mistake results. To me, his slider is his best pitch, he can throw it solely in an AB, and locate it top/inside, low/outside at will....slider sits 79-80mph. And the FB like I said earlier, sits low 90's in the game, can rare back for 94 if needed. Change up plays too at 83mph

This should be a excellent test vs. the Royals loaded upper Farm System

Cags gets to see Mautz and Hansen, too from the Left side....this should be fun...or at least interesting.

Yea, Henderson’s slider looks good. Drafted in same round as Nootbaar and Allen Craig. As well as both Tom and Matt Pagnozzi :)

Good insight on Ixan and savacool. What’s the report on sequera seems to be doing incredibly well for 19.

Also hoping Franco is in FCL and potentially Strop. And hoping dutkanych begins returning from injury soon. Long shot with injuries but loved the pick

I don't know enough about FCL pitchers...and is Strop stateside? He's 16 yo, I think he's in the DSL this season....but I could be wrong

The Vandy pitcher might not debut until 2026...maybe late 2025

Peoria 0, Beloit 0 ; Bot 1st

Gerardo Salas ~ 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K ....8 pitches, 7 strikes....probably his best inning in 2025, he needed that.

Peoria smacking the ball around....have scored 3 in the 1st inning....that's a Series (6 games) for them. I hope they understand they're allowed to score more.

I agree on Savacool. He is local to me so I have been keeping an eye on the progress.
If he isn't promoted soon, and he really hasn't earned it, his prospect days are over. It almost seems that the organization is just enjoying the innings at low A, with no real prospect plans already.

Ixan is interesting. He is a bulldog, and has been missing a few bats.

Sequera is at palm beach. kind of low profile international signing i know nothing about except being 19 and holding his own in PB so far. also want to see chen wei lin healthy.
