Absolutely. I must admit we've (at home) been very pleasantly surprised by Snuggies ascension. Its a fair jump from the NCAA to an NHL playoff push and hes been pretty good at 20 yrs old. I am not sure its a stretch to say that Snuggerud is likely a top line NHL RW at some point down the roadTampaBlues78 wrote: ↑28 Apr 2025 14:45 pm I predict he will have a huge impact next year for the blues
AND
We still have Hofer, Neighbours, Bolduc, Tucker, DD, Stenberg......its an embarrassment of riches right now

Yea I am 100% pleasantly surprised by how’s he come in and played as well as he has. I actually bought his jersey so hopefully that’s not a curse. But love what he’s done and the speed he’s shownHarry S Deals wrote: ↑28 Apr 2025 15:08 pmAbsolutely. I must admit we've (at home) been very pleasantly surprised by Snuggies ascension. I've got an old Blues Tee, #2 Macinnis, I wear often here in Minneapolis and I'm without a doubt getting a Snuggerud Tee once they become more available.

He’s adapted better and faster to the NHL than I expected. I think there’s an outside chance he challenged for the Calder next season.

Yeah I can't believe how well he has jumped into his nhl skates off an airplane. Calder is a fair possibility too.STL fan in MN wrote: ↑28 Apr 2025 15:34 pm He’s adapted better and faster to the NHL than I expected. I think there’s an outside chance he challenged for the Calder next season.

For sure would be awesome especially getting all this playoff experience. It would be insane. The future us really bright for this team.STL fan in MN wrote: ↑28 Apr 2025 15:34 pm He’s adapted better and faster to the NHL than I expected. He looked a little lost there for a brief stretch earlier in this series, but now he's seeing the ice and making plays like a veteran. I'm also impressed how he's willing to do the dirty work in board battles. And his laughing in the faces of the Jet agitators trying to draw our youngsters into scrums was perfect. His future looks bright.STL fan in MN wrote: ↑28 Apr 2025 15:34 pm He’s adapted better and faster to the NHL than I expected. “Stealin’ pucks from Scheifele” is a lovely tune. I hope to keep hearing it.TBone wrote: ↑28 Apr 2025 16:18 pmHe looked a little lost there for a brief stretch earlier in this series, but now he's seeing the ice and making plays like a veteran. Kid uses his stick very well defensively, and he his hockey sense is off the charts-very composed player and very schooled on both sides of the puck for a 20 year old-really like this kid.

The exposure he's getting to these type of games, then having the summer off to process, will pay off exponentially.

It's a bummer he didn't get to win the NCAA national championship, but I hope being a Stanley Cup champion in the same year is a nice consolation prize.

Re: Jimmy Snuggerud #21
There was a play, I think it was Game 3, where the puck sort of bounced to him in our defensive zone over on the left side. He had a Jet on his back. I’d expect most players to try to turn there and try to take the puck north up the ice. But with the Jet right on him, Jimmy at a standstill and another Jet on the blue line, he most likely would’ve gotten the puck stripped from him. Or at best he turns and tries to chip it out of the zone. But instead, he quickly surveyed his options while protecting the puck, then fired the puck back behind our own net, bouncing it off the boards to a Blues d-man that was more open/had a better angle. The Blues broke out successfully from there. THAT is the play that stood out to me. Showed a lot of poise and hockey sense in that little play.
