In light of Liberatore, what to do with Roby?

Roby could probably help the Cardinals bullpen pretty soon. He has a couple outstanding pitches suitable for relief duty. And he's had injury issues in the past. That may be one of the reasons the Rangers included him in the trade. It will be interesting to see if the Cardinals groom him as a starting pitcher or give him some early relief work like they did Liberatore. Just looking ahead. Roby could move ahead of Mathews in getting to the MLB. It is nice to have both these fine pitching prospects coming along.

Libby's success/failure won't move the needle one iota on Roby.
Roby is focusing on being a starter and staying healthy for a full season...for the first time since 2022. He's going to stay with Springfield...they have better training facilities than Memphis.

I'll leave it at that, if you can't/won't grasp the straw, there's nothing left to do.

1. They have nothing to do with each other.
2. The Cardinals are “grooming” (dumb term, but it’s yours so I’ll use it) as a starter. There is nothing “to see”. He’s starting.

Good call. Roby has that kind of stuff. But I hope Roby becomes a much needed top of the rotation type starting pitcher. At least a #2 type.

I hope there is a correlation in that they realize they were dumb in putting liebratore in bullpen and not letting him develop as a starter so they don’t go dumb with roby

My point. Some either don't comprehend or they don't want to.
