Anyone watching this???

Heated game. Benches cleared at the end of the 2nd. Montembeault had to leave in the 2nd, now Logan Thompson is leaving in the 3rd.

Great game!

Habs up 5-3.

Both starting goalies get knocked out of the game with injuries.
Strome annihilated his own by slamming into Thompson and with a stick to the mask for extra flair.

Which team do you think has a better chance of stealing the series? Blues or Canadians?

It wasn’t benches emptying. No tunnel for visitors at Bell Center. Second period ended and some commotion happened as WA was heading out. They started blocking Habs goalie path to his bench and that started it. Eventually Wilson and Anderson ended up on the caps bench wrestling and kind of fighting with a linesman there as well and then Wilson started mocking the Habs or their fans by pretending to cry. It was funny and stupid.

Both starting goalies got hurt in this game. Caps goalie broke his stick and was without it for a couple of minutes. Habs had a couple of chances. Caps should have iced the puck to get a whistle. They didn’t and then Habs scored and he got hurt on the play. Didn’t look good.

Hard to play on the road in front of a soccer crowd. Confusing.

Wow, even the studio crew is mocking them 8O .

Yeah, I didn't know how to describe it. Excited and using my phone.

First time in a while though where most players are out on the ice with some pushing, shoving, and who knows what.

Great game. Intriguing series.

Good question. I originally thought Montreal, but now....?

I think Montreal and Blues are both fun and exciting up and coming teams. Kind of similar in that way. Suzuki and Thomas from the same draft year. Both having great careers and somewhat similar in style of game.

Habs are my distant 2nd team. So I'm rooting for them. But I won't do predictions for the Blues...to superstitious.

I get the superstitions!

It will be something to see what goalies are available moving forward. Thompson looked bad as he was not wanting to put weight on one leg.
Montembeault could be a minor issue.

For sure and wasn't being critical. I see "benches emptying" (which technically they were) I think 70s style bench clearing brawls. This wasn't exactly that but that nonsense between Wilson and Anderson that spilled onto the bench, you don't see that in today's game. I know there are folks here who love Tom Wilson. I can't stand the guy. He's beyond dirty and his antics last night sure seemed to motivate Montreal to have a better third than the Caps did.

I'm still dumbfounded by the play that led up to Thompson's injury. He lost/broke his stick. SO they couldn't just have someone skate to it and get it back to him. Montreal had 2-3 shot or shot attempts at him without the stick and clearly life was difficult for him. Caps got the puck. They had at least two chances to ice it. Then the Habs come back and the play he gets hurt, Habs guy drives the net, there is a shot, a goal, a collision that ended up in the crease and then Thomspon could barely move.
