Leaving a team better than when you started
Pretty much confirms that almost his entire success was just off the moves Jocketty made. Sure Mo made tweaks here and there, but almost every decision since his trade for Heyward has been a trainwreck and a disaster. He is leaving this franchise as a total dumpster fire. Great work Bowtie boy

So the 2025 Cards need to win 79 games to be better than the 78-84 2007 Cards.
That was quite a team. Scored 725 runs and gave up 829 runs which which means they should have been 71-91.
Clearly, at the end of 2007 everything was already in place to go to the NLCS every year from 2011-2014 and have the best record in all of MLB in 2015.
