Fanduel App and puck tracker thingy

Post by George Zipp »

Please make it stop. Seriously stupid. The tracker looks like there are broken sticks everywhere and it’s distracting as all hell. The use of it to track penalty killers looks like my 6th grade geometry homework and it’s more distracting.

Just stop.

First world problems.

My EXACT thought last night.

I didn't mind the one that tracked the puck.
When Buch scored you could see the puck kinda rolled off the end of his stick. Changing the difficulty of the would be save.

Wouldn't of saw that without and that was pretty neat.

Pass on the showing the defensive diamond on a pp.

It was completely annoying. Especially when they connected the players on the same team on the power play.

I'm a professional old person who's been around since the beginning of the Blues. Get rid of the puck tracker thingy.

Not completely disagreeing with the majority in this thread, but wouldn't contacting Fan Duel to complain about it be more appropriate than posting your displeasure here?

I thought the NHL learned their lesson when they tried that stoopid sheeeet years ago with the Fox tracker thingy, only back then they used gawd awful neon colors too

The technology is better obviously but it’s just as annoying today as it was then

We are all among friends here. Folks can contact Fan Duel as well, but I believe it's good to see what friends think too.

I guess I'm in the minority here, but I liked the lines connecting the penalty killers last night. They were pretty subtle. I like to pay attention to more than "we scored" or "they scored", though. It was cool to watch how the penalty killers collapsed or favored one side or the other or rotated responsibilities. Sometimes that stuff is hard to see in real time.

I'm sure teams have been using that technology for years now to help shape their PK and PP units against others.

ESPN used to do it way back too. The best quote ever was Dennis Hopper who said "I don't know why they put those tracer colors on the puck, I've been seeing those for years."

I agree. Very distracting, made my eyes ache. Next thing, they’ll be bringing back the killer transformer bots that zap each other after a goal. We don’t want that, trust me if you don’t remember those…

It certainly made a lot more sense in the standard definition days. The puck was hard to see and the Fox Tracks helped.

I think all of the fancy graphic stuff is super annoying. I don't need a tracker, nor the names above the players' names over their heads, nor the quadrangle, and while I'm at it ... I don't need to see the face of the guy being interviewed by AS during play and I don't need to see john hamm's face when he is talking in the booth with JK during play. During play ... just show me the game. I know how to watch hockey. Rant over.
